Scriabin Project

This has been by far one of the most challenging and exciting projects I've ever worked on. In 2013 I began learning all of the sonatas, then the remaining piano works by Alexander Scriabin. Aside from his five symphonies, the rest of his works are all for piano. That's a lot of music! After performing the complete works in a cycle of concerts, I will begin  recording the ten piano sonatas this January.

Over the past few years I have added  Scriabin to concert programs at the Steinway Gallery in Westport, Faust Harrison Pianos in Fairfield, Weill Recital Hall in New York, The Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, and have performed his works in the Sofia Music Weeks Festival in Bulgaria, and the International Piano Festival in Havana, Cuba. Last July I gave an all-Scriabin recital at the World Piano Conference in Novi Sad, Serbia.

This has been an unforgettable journey, and it's not quite over yet. Check this page for updates on the recordings, pictures and videos.

Chamber Music

I have been paired up with great musicians for some fabulous music over the years and I'm always on the lookout for new projects. In 2017 I performed with Bulgarian violinist Stanichka Dimitrova at Weill Recital Hall, where the highlight of our program was the violin sonata by Milcho Leviev. In 2012 I recorded the complete Beethoven violin sonatas as part of the Elan Duo at Radford University in Virginia, after performing them extensively throughout the US. I have worked with fantastic singers, performing Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915, Ives and Bernstein songs, and a song cycle by Lee Hoiby with soprano Jennie Foster. As part of the Baroque to Modern Concert Series I performed Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time with clarinetist Sam Kaestner.

Accompaniment

I regularly accompany musicians in the standard vocal and instrumental repertoire and am a frequently requested pianist for Juilliard and MSM Prep auditions, local orchestra competitions, and recitals. Sometimes I also get some rarities thrown my way, with lesser played works by Glazunov, Lebedev,  Strauss, and Burton. I work on a long-term or project basis.
